HLAI

In May 2016, Martin Quintana will become the new president of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois.

The Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI) has worked tirelessly to promote high standards of competence, professionalism, and integrity with and among Hispanic attorneys and the Hispanic communities within the State of Illinois. HLAI seeks to provide a forum through which Hispanic attorneys and their achievements, goals, and aspirations may be promoted within the legal profession. HLAI is also invested in addressing social, economic, and other issues that may affect the Hispanic community and provide a forum for the dissemination of information vital to the interests of Hispanic attorneys or their community. Finally, HLAI seeks to promote the empowerment of the Hispanic community through the support of its community organizations.

Martin is devoted to continuing the great legacy and mission of HLAI, as well as further enhancing the organization. Martin is the founder and the managing partner of Quintana Law Group, LLC based in Chicago and Downers Grove. He focuses his practice on state and federal criminal defense along with personal injury, workers’ compensation, and medical malpractice.Prior to forming Quintana Law Group, LLC was a partner at a small boutique firm on Michigan Avenue that focused on personal injury, workers’ compensation, and medical malpractice. His strong presence as a highly successful trial lawyer and his prominence throughout Chicago has provided him the opportunity to develop a large and wide range of client base which affords him the ability to service a vast amount of clients. Martin’s continued service to the community and complete passion for the practice of law is one of the main reasons why he continues to serve as a member of multiple legal, ethnic, and professional organizations throughout the State of Illinois. It has been these qualities and experiences which have led him to be elected as President-Elect for HLAI, and which will guide him in taking HLAI to even greater heights.

PROTECTING YOUR FUTURE: THE VITAL IMPORTANCE OF IMMEDIATE CRIMINAL DEFENSE

Few legal problems are more frightening than criminal charges. The moment you are accused, the weight of the legal system can feel overwhelming. However, it is important to remember that a charge is not a conviction—and the steps you take in the hours and days following an arrest can change the trajectory of your case.

PROTECTING YOUR FUTURE: THE VITAL IMPORTANCE OF IMMEDIATE CRIMINAL DEFENSE

When facing the court, there is more than just your freedom on the line. A criminal record can create a “ripple effect” that touches every part of your personal and professional life. Beyond potential jail time or fines, your reputation, job prospects, driving privileges, and even your immigration status may be in jeopardy.

For many, a conviction can mean the loss of a professional license, difficulty finding housing, or permanent stains on a hard-earned reputation.

WHY YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO WAIT

The legal system moves quickly, and the prosecution is already building their case against you. If you’ve been charged with a crime, do not delay. Seeking legal advice immediately allows your attorney to:

  • Protect you from self-incrimination during questioning.
  • Preserve vital evidence and interview witnesses while memories are fresh.
  • Negotiate with prosecutors before the case even reaches the courtroom.
TAKE THE FIRST STEP TOWARD YOUR DEFENSE

You don’t have to face this alone. At Quintana Law Group, we understand the high stakes involved in criminal defense. Our dedicated team is here to lead you through every step of the process, providing the aggressive representation and personalized strategies you deserve.
